Players To Watch

The Labour Day Classic is here. The 54th one will be played for the first time at new Mosaic with the home team looking to avenge a Week 2 overtime loss in what was the first official game at Riders new home.  Here are some players to watch on both sides this afternoon.

CAMERON MARSHALL -- Get this guy going and you will have success, and get him going early.  It is no coincidence that when the Riders win he is having a good day catching and running the football. Both Kevin Glenn and Chris Jones said on Saturday, he may be the number one weapon they have on the team which is a statement considering the play of Duron Carter, Naaman Roosevelt and others.

HENOC MUAMBA --  There is no doubt the Winnipeg offense is predicated on the play of Andrew Harris.  He is on pace for a season where he would have 1000 yards rushing and receiving.  I would think Muamba would have the duty of trying to corral Harris in what could be the matchup of the day.

WESTON DRESSLER -  Anytime this guy plays against the Riders, you watch him. His motivation against his former team is still strong, and you know he loved having a big part in the Bombers Week 2 win. He returns to the lineup today after missing some games due to injury. Regardless whether it is against the Riders, the Lions or whoever, Dressler will be ready to go.

NIC DEMSKI  --The former Manitoba Bison seems to come up big in games against the Bombers.  Chris Jones indicated yesterday that he has told Demski he needs to pick it up a little after a nice start to the season. He will return kicks today in the absence of the injured Christion Jones.

JUSTIN MEDLOCK --  The guy is money! If Winnipeg has the ball in the waning moments with a chance to win on a Medlock field goal, I don't like the Riders chances.  How many games has Winnipeg won this year on a last play three pointer by Medlock.  Rider fans don't want to see that total get increased today.

ENJOY THE GAME!!
