Ti-Cats Sign Former Rider Linebacker---Again

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed a trio of import linebackers: Byron Bullock, Alex Joseph and Cobrani Mixon.

Bullock, a 6-0, 212-pound native of Inglewood, California, joined the Ticats practice roster last November after attending training camp with the Saskatchewan Roughriders earlier in June. In 2010, the South Dakota product made five defensive tackles and one forced fumble in three games with the Roughriders.

Joseph, a 6-2, 240-pound native of Stanford, Connecticut, spent time with the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders and Carolina Panthers after posting 253 tackles and 17.5 tackles for a loss over four seasons at Temple.

Mixon, a 6-1, 240-pound native of Cincinnati, Ohio, attended training camp with the NFL’s Detroit Lions last season and was among the team’s final cuts on September 3. Prior to turning pro, Mixon spent four seasons at Kent State, racking up 263 tackles, 27 tackles for a loss and 11.5 quarterback sacks. He was named first-team All-MAC in 2009 and 2010.

Bullock is a guy that the Riders should have kept. We could sure use him now.

Okay, enough with the Byron Bullock man crush!

He's been cut by two CFL teams the past two years. Should we get the Hall of Fame to start working on a bust?
