Jordan Eberle Gives Back

The Hospitals of Regina Foundation (HRF) is pleased to announce a first-of-its-kind event for Regina - the Eberle & Friends Golf Classic! The two-day event will be loaded with celebrities and lots of activities, offering participants the opportunity to raise funds for our hospitals while enjoying a gala evening and great game of golf.

Jordan Eberle has a long list of accomplishments. Currently a right winger for the Edmonton Oilers, Jordan has competed for Canada in two World Junior Championships, winning gold and silver in 2009 and 2010, respectively. He was named Tournament MVP and Best Forward at the 2010 World Junior Championships and is Canada's second all-time leading scorer at the tournament with 26 points, five behind Eric Lindros.

Now, Jordan will be returning to his hometown of Regina to headline the Hospitals of Regina Foundation Eberle & Friends Golf Classic.
Don Wilson, volunteer Chair of the HRF’s Board of Directors, says, “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Jordan and his friends. We are going to go above and beyond to make this event unique and successful and to raise as many dollars as we can for Regina’s hospitals.”

Jordan Eberle was unable to attend the kick-off reception but he did send a video message expressing his enthusiasm: “I am excited to return home to headline the Eberle & Friends Golf Classic in Regina this summer. The event will raise money for Regina’s hospitals and I’m proud to support the Hospitals of Regina Foundation.”

The Cooperators has secured the presenting sponsor role for this event and they could not be more pleased to be a part of this high energy event. Kevin Daniel, COO of The Cooperators was on hand at the kick-off to say a few words, stating, “We couldn’t resist the opportunity to be a part of this tournament and working alongside Jordon Eberle and others from the NHL. The Cooperators and our employees have a proud history of supporting the community and we look forward to contributing to this special event.”

The Eberle & Friends Golf Classic will take place July 11th and 12th. There will be a lot of great things happening over the two days – a gala, a media event, an autograph session and of course plenty of golfing; but at the end of the day, it’s about bringing greater awareness to the needs in our hospitals and raising funds to support them.

The Hospitals of Regina Foundation is a non-profit organization, guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. They are the only organization raising funds for southern Saskatchewan’s specialized care hospitals – the Regina General Hospital, the Pasqua Hospital and the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. Since 1987, the Foundation has raised over $120 million to enhance healthcare.
