Peyton Manning is now a Denver Bronco. However, he may not be able to wear #18. The Broncos retired the number several years ago as it was worn by quarterback Frank Tripucka. Rider fans (at least the older generation) will remember that Tripucka was with the Riders from 1953-1958. He returned in 1959 before heading to Denver to be reunited with his old coach in Saskatchewan--Frank Filchock. Tripucka threw the first touchdown pass in the history of the old AFL.
What number will Peyton wear in Denver? I'm guessing 15 will soon be available.
