Looking Good In Red Deer

The only thing preventing the two Saskatchewan rinks at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Red Deer from being 3-0 was a tiny slip-up by Michelle Englot. Michelle and her Team Saskatchewan rink gave up three in the 10th end and lost 10-8 to BC's Kelly Scott to drop to 2-1.

Englot had the evening draw off Sunday night, but Team Canada's Amber Holland did not. Holland came up with the shot of the tournament so far as she beat Alberta's Heather Nedohin in the evening draw. Amber executed an in-off double to score two with her last rock in a 6-5 win.

Scott and Holland are tied for first at 3-0 going into Monday's play with the two rinks battling one another in the morning draw. Englot's 2-1mark puts her in a three way tie for 2nd with Manitoba's Jennifer Jones and Ontario's Tracy Horgan at 2-1. Holland will get the afternoon off and take on Jones tonight while Englot gets the morning off before playing PEI this afternoon and Ontario tonight.
