Its still early, but first place was on the line this morning at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts as Team Canada's Amber Holland met BC's Kelly Scott in a battle of 3-0 teams. In the end, Scott took the game 7-5 as Holland elected to try a double that would have given her the win instead of an open draw to the four foot that would have sent the game into an extra end. As you can guess, Amber didn't execute the double as she tastes defeat for the first time. Had they won, they would probably admit that perhaps they didn't deserve to as the rink struggled today only to be bailed out several times by the skip.
