The Eskimos Bubble Has Burst

I knew it was going to happen and it has. The Edmonton Eskimos have hit the skids and we will now see just  how good of a coach Kavis Reed is as he tries to snap this team out of the rocky slide they are in. This team looks nothing like the team that started the season and all of a sudden Ricky Ray is finding out that he has the same problem Darian Durant has and that is his receiving talent has been watered down significantly.

BC is getting better, the Riders will be better and Calgary may have re-assumed itself as the best team in the West. The Riders have a lot of games left against Western Division opponents and the move to bring Ken Miller back as head coach will pay dividends.

Its going to be a wild 2nd half of the season folks. Sit back and enjoy!!!

The glow is off Marcus Crandell as OC now. A few weeks ago, letting him go to Edmonton and keeping Berry was a huge mistake; now, he doesn't look so good without receivers who can run routes and catch footballs.

The Eskimos were 5-2 and the fans were booing them last nite, I agree when we get healthy we will be battling Edm. and B.C. for second place.

The Eskies will win no more than 2 more games this season. Second place is still a possibility.

Hold on folks. Once Edmonton gets back Stamps, Barnes, Bowman and Henry, their offence will pick up again. At 5-3 they have given themselves a bit of a cushion until the injured come back. Tillman will fix the O-line problems over the break. I'm not a fan of theirs, but they will be back. Never count out Ricky Ray once he gets his guys back. Did you watch the game? Notice the 2 young DEs that Tillman found. They are good ones. Why can't Taman do that. They are stars in the making.

I wonder if message boards in Edmonton are similar to those in recent weeks in Sask - fire the head coach, get rid of the GM? Or will supporters trot out the injury card as an excuse for the lack of talent?

Where is Danny McManus? The Riders could bring him in as QB coach, while grooming him to be the OC. He would be a great mentor for Darian. How about bringing Mo Lloyd back? He is only 28 yrs old, and he would have to take a significant pay cut to get back into the league. His fiery leadership might help. Being unemployed may have humbled him some. Get rid of Milo. Missed from 27 and 39 yrds! We need Eddie and Luca in there when they are ready. Our secondary is suspect. McKenzie and Graham are routinely victimized by double moves and they are poor tacklers. Patrick is a stud back there, but Frazier has to pick it up and be a leader. The season starts now. To the players.....you are now on notice. Roster changes are coming this week. Guess what? Terrance Nunn has been located. He is in the Witness Protection Program! Let's see Dallas Baker in there or Koch if he is ready. I feel better now that I have vented my spleen!

The Riders need an assistant GM. May I suggest that Jim Hopson get in touch with "Lee-anne".
