Tony Proudfoot Writes His Own Eulogy

For those that don't know who Tony Proudfoot is, I can't even start to tell you about good an individual he is. The former Montreal Alouette who was the team's radio analyst for many years has come down with ALS. It is slowly killing him. There wasn't a dry eye in the house on the morning before Grey Cup 2008 when the Football Reporters of Canada honored him. His speech was a moment you don't forget. You could ask those like Steve Simmons, Dave Naylor, Damien Cox, Bryan Hall, Bob Irving--they were all in the room and like me, they were left speechless by what Proudfoot said that day.

Tony won't be around for much longer. He has taken the bold step of writing his eulogy in today's Montreal Gazette. Here it is. WARNING: Have some kleenex handy!
