A Play That Everyone Forgets

i'm sure many of us have dissected the Riders game yesterday talking about this play and that play. There is one play that no one (at least no one that I have heard from) is talking about and that is the play by Ryan Grice-Mullen in the 4th quarter. Paul McCallum's punt lands at about the 5 and skitters towards the goal-line. Grice-Mullen waits for the ball to roll across the goal-line before conceding a single.
On the next play from the 35, Darian Durant gets all the time in the world and throws the bomb to Weston Dressler. I don't think that call would have been made if Grice-Mullen doesn't make what was a very smart decision.

I was surprised no one mentioned it too. Very good decison and a lucky roll !

Very heads up by Grice-Mullen.

IIRC, Rob Bagg's long TD in the Home opener came after a punt single...

I may be mistaken but if you watch the reply, there was not a no yards flag. When RGM picked up the ball the BC player was standing right beside him. Is that not a flag and no single point? I may have that rule wrong.

Re Flag: If there was a flag (yeah, I think there was), the Riders can decline the penalty...which concedes the single and gives them the ball on the 35.
