Another Honor For Andy

Saskatchewan Roughrider slotback Andy Fantuz has been named the Gibson’s Finest Canadian Player of the Month for the third time this season.

In the month of October Fantuz continued his on-field domination where he had three games with over 100 receiving yards and tallied 22 receptions for 359 yards and one touchdown.

Fantuz finished the regular season as the CFL’s top receiver with 87 receptions for 1,380 yards and six touchdowns in 18 games played. This marks the first time a Rider has finished with the most receiving yards in the CFL since 2000 when Curtis Marsh claimed the title.

So far this season, the 26-year old has been named the CFL Canadian Player of the Week four times, the CFL Offensive Player of the Week once and CFL Canadian of the Month for July, September and October.
