Dustin Johnson Got Screwed!

Martin Kaymer won the PGA championship. However, everyone is going to be talking about Dustin Johnson and its a conversation that won't go away soon. Johnson's chances at competing in a playoff was taken away because the PGA gave him a two stroke penalty for grounding his club in a bunker that he (and many others) never knew existed.
All Johnson had to was get up and down in par on the 72nd and final hole, but he put himself in trouble by driving it into the crowd. That crowd was apparently allowed by PGA officials to stand in a bunker. Why? Shouldn't PGA officials be telling fans they are on the course and they have to move? Did this happen to anyone else this week? Does the PGA have to look at tape from TNT and CBS from every shot hit in the rough to see if someone else did what Johnson did not knowing that they were in a bunker. This is complete crap if you ask me. Johnson got screwed over by the PGA. Its a tremendous show of sportsmanship by Johnson by accepting his fate and not getting into a huff over it. I can only wonder what would have happened had the player in question had the last name of Woods instead of Johnson. Oh wait, I know what would have happened----and so do you!

One other thing about yesterday's round. If you saw Rory McIlroy, was it just me or did he look like Danny Noonan from "Caddyshack" yesterday. Just sayin'

Does the "EE" on the helmet stand for "Extremely Embarassing". It should! What was that? Just when you didn't think the Eskimos could look any worse than they did in Winnipeg, they put up an effort in Calgary that made the Winnipeg game look tolerable. 56-15 was the final for the Stampeders. The Eskimos simply imploded. Noel Prefontaine looked like the British keeper against the US at the World Cup as he let two snaps go through his hands, the defence looked dis-interested and all in all, it was just a complete crapfest.
That being said, Stampeder defensive end Mike Labinjo should be getting a call from the league for his actions late in the 4th. He laid the boots to Edmonton's Andre Talbot sparking a melee that saw one Edmonton player get kicked out. What Labinjo did to Talbot was in my mind unacceptable. How he didn't get tossed as well is beyond me.

Did anyone see Henry Burris before the game say he wanted to drink sangria and go skinny dipping with Dmitri Tsoumpas in Miami. Saying you want to go skinny dipping with another man is wrong (well at least it is in some cases even though there are people I know that would like to do that), but when that man is a fat, ugly o-lineman? C'mon Hank...that's a little beyond creepy! I might have to ask Scott Schultz about that statement. If Vanstone heard that comment, I'm guessing we won't want to go by Wascana Lake when the Stampeders come to town because that frolicking in the water won't be the geese!

I thought John Cena would turn heel at Summerslam but he didn't. Thanks to Cena, Team WWE beat Nexus in the main event at Summerslam. He had every opportunity to turn, and I somehow still think he will, but it didn't come at what was a very uneventful PPV. I love the fact modern technology now allows us to see PPV's for nothing on a computer.

Memo to TSN. More Vic Rauter on Sportscentre please! For that matter, more Kate Beirness too.
----
Memo to Rogers. If you are just going to show your network in Ontario to Rogers subscribers, it is an epic fail. Why you don't have this channel on cable providers like Access and Shaw when it comes time to launch is stupid.
----
The movie "The Box" might be one of the all-time worst ones I've ever seen.
----
I don't care if Tomas Kaberle gets traded or not.
----
NHL 11 is probably going to be a must-buy because you can play junior teams this year. If you are a fan of the Whalers or Jets though, this might make you want to go out and get the game.
----
CBS is coming out with a Hawaii Five O remake. Really! Is this what TV is coming to? I asked my Twitter followers (all 209 of them) what other lame TV shows should be brought back. "Laverne and Shirley" and "Greatest American Hero" were mentioned. What about "Charles in Charge" or "Baywatch" or "Full House". OK, scratch that last one. How about a "Family Ties" reunion?
----
The Axe ad with the guy losing whatever is in his hair is just gross.
----
I didn't think John Chick would play until the 2nd half of the Colts-Niners game so I didn't start watching until late in the 2nd quarter. I was too late. GRRRR!!
----
Have you voted in the finals for Riderville yet?

Enjoy your Monday!

Are you suggesting there is a double standard for one Mr. Woods. Shame on you! Shame, shame, shame!

Further to Mr. Blair's memo to TSN: And less (much, much less...like none) of Jennifer Hedger.

The Eskimos are getting worse and not better.

Dustin Johnson fell victim to one of golf's archaic rules, however I do wonder what would have happened had that been Tiger or Phil.

Hmmmm, whenever I watch the Masters I don't see fans allowed to stand in bunkers. Johnson got the wrong end of the shaft for sure!

Cena won't turn heel until Triple H returns.
