The Drama Queen Strikes Again

I guess Brett Favre was tired of everyone ignoring him. I guess he had to feel the love again. Favre let it be known that he was throwing the Vikings under the bus by retiring. He is putting the Vikings through the exact same crap that he put the Packers under for so many years and that he put the Jets under for one season.
With all the speculation out there as to whether or not this retirement is THE retirement, I have to wonder just where Brett is during all this. He is just sitting back and lapping up all the attention. He could have ended this speculation with a press conference, a statement, something that would either confirm or deny his retirement. NO!!! Brett can't do that. That isn't in Brett's DNA. He has to have that spotlight on him for as long as he can. The story could have been confirmed or denied by Brett himself, but he wants this to go on for a while yet. Once again, he has the Vikings wondering what the future is. He could have made this announcement a couple of weeks ago or a couple of months ago.
Saying he was leaving might have allowed the Vikings to take a quarterback on draft day. It might have allowed them to make a run at an experienced quarterback like a Donovan McNabb via trade or find someone via free agency. But, NOOOOOO!!! Brett can't think of the team, he only thinks of himself--yet again!
For what its worth, when the Vikings open the season September 9 in New Orleans, I fully expect Favre to be calling the signals.

Many WHL teams have blogs, but one team that hadn't had one was the Warriors until now. Looky what I found last night.

Is this a James Gallo presentation? Now that he's married, he must have some time on his hands. There's some pictures on there of the brand new Multiplex as it continues to get built. Its looking good!
Speaking of blogs, I am going to have get the blogs of all the SJHL media guys linked on to this blog so you can check them out. I have to get a hold of the SJHL play-by-play guys over the next little bit.

Did you see the story in the LP yesterday and on Global last night about the Australian who has a bucket list. The guy has done things like naked skydiving and marrying a complete stranger in Vegas. At first, I thought the guy was copying Global's Derek (please call me Duke) Meyers, but then I saw some of the other things on the list. One of the things on the list is visiting the Playboy Mansion. What guy doesn't have that on his bucket list? Really!

The big question at Rider camp tomorrow. What did Darian Durant eat in order to give him the I believe it was "bubbleguts" as Rod Pedersen called it on "The Sportscage" and where did he get it? A friend of mine was violently ill on the weekend after getting a pizza from a Regina establishment after the Rider game. He knows a couple of Riders so I had to text him if Darian had some leftovers Sunday morning or something.

Will it do Jordan Sisco any good to go back to the Rams for his final year? I'm sure Frank McCrystal would love to see him in a Rams uniform, but is that the best thing for him. Then again, he would get playing time and reps that he might not get in a Rider uniform. Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Sirius NFL Radio spent Tuesday at the camp of the Indianapolis Colts. During one segment, GM Bill Polian raved about a defensive end that the team got from the CFL over the off-season. Any guesses as to that might be?

Lance Frazier says he would love to return punts. HMMMMMMMM?????

The exhibition starts today! How much does the exhibition normally cost you if you go with the family. Its like a small mortgage payment and I'm guessing it won't be any cheaper this year.

Congrats to Pats blueliner Myles Bell for cracking the national under 18 summer team. I would think he would be representing our country at the 2012 World Juniors.

Why is TSN2 showing us coverage of the Winter Olympics? For that matter, what is this Sportsnet One that debuts August 14.

When is A-Rod going to hit his 600th homer?
---
There is no doubt in my mind that John Cena will turn heel at Summerslam!

Anderson Silva may kill Chael Sonnen Saturday night at UFC 117. That's too bad because Sonnen is one of the best mouthpieces going today. If you're a UFC fan, you know of what I speak and you know some of the trashtalk he has been involved in leading to Saturday's tilt.

Have a good Wednesday and if you're off to the Ex, tell me how much the saratoga chips are this year?

Cena sells too much merch to be turned heel. He'd be great, but it ain't happening.

I hope Silva shows up to fight. If he does, Sonnen better call Rich Franklin and ask for the name of the plastic surgeon who put his face back together.

Brett hasn't made a decision. What's the problem. We all new he wouldn't attend camp, and his wheel is still bothering him. Not sure what the big deal is...

I'd be for Joe Frazier returning punts right now.
