EDMONTON -- Response to the public on-sale period for tickets to the 98th Grey Cup game being held in Edmonton on November 28, 2010 has been tremendous.
From the launch of public on-sale at 2pm MTN, over 12,000 tickets were snapped up in just two hours bringing to 47,200 the number sold at time of release.
Rick LeLacheur, Co-Chair of the 2010 Grey Cup Festival Committee announced “We know Edmonton is Hot to Huddle for the 2010 Grey Cup game and festival and clearly the entire country is too. We’ve had CFL fans from across Canada and the United States get on-line to secure their tickets.”
“The Grey Cup Festival Committee is extremely pleased. In fact, 6 months out from the big game we have already surpassed the 2009 Grey Cup total attendance of 46,020.” Said Doug Goss, Co-Chair of the 2010 Grey Cup Festival Committee.
Rick LeLacheur went on to say. “As pleased as we are with the incredible response, it’s important for fans to know that there are good seats still available. We would, however, encourage fans to get their 2010 Grey Cup seats secured as soon as possible.”
