Its Now Official!

The free agent signing of Nikolai Khabibulin by the Oilers was a major mistake.

Edmonton Oilers goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back.
He'll have the procedure done in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The team said Khabibulin is out indefinitely and didn't provide a specific timeline for his recovery.
Khabibulin hasn't played since a 3-2 shootout loss to Columbus on Nov. 16. In 18 games this season, he had a 7-9-2 record, 3.03 goals-against average and .910 save percentage.
The 37-year-old signed a $15-million, four-year contract with Edmonton over the summer.

The Oilers are well on their way to having the NHL's worst record and perhaps drafting number one overall and getting Taylor Hall. In the meantime, they need a goalie ----a much younger goalie. A much younger goalie that is sitting with a team who is wasting his talent. It is time for this team to make a move to get Josh Harding!

I'd like to see Josh go elsewhere too, but not to Edmonton.
How bout the Islanders or the Kings!
