Is Taman Tillman's Successor?

The Winnipeg Free Press reports this morning Brendan Taman has been offered the Riders GM spot and that he has 24 to 48 hours to accept the position. Taman is also being considered for the same position with his old team--the Bombers. Stay tuned!

One other CFL note. A San Francisco report says Alouettes coach Marc Trestman is a candidate for the Raiders head coaching job. Did Tom Cable get fired? Trestman used to be an offensive co-ordinator with the team.

No, No, NO! If Taman is our GM, the good days are over. Didn't Hoppy say he had eight to ten good candidates. There's no way he has interviewed all those people. He is taking the easy way out on this one and is making the WRONG decision.

This is a lovely way to start the day.

It must be true, I just saw Taman at Humptys walking out with a bunch of napkins.

Hey Mitch. I'm not going to give the exact same rant I posted to Pedersen's blog, I'll just condense it.

My name is Tim and I've been a season ticket holder since 1997. I love the passion of Rider fans, but they often go over the top and here we go again.

Many were against the hiring of Kent Austin in 2007, but they sure changed their tune. Tillman was seen as a hero until he traded Joseph and Perry and hired the unknown Ken Miller. The tune changed again as the team won. They bemoaned the loss of two all-star linebackers and said they would never be as good and they were one stomach-wrenching penalty from winning it all. The naysayers are now out in full force again with word that Taman could be GM and that Chick is gone. It truly is sickening. Are some of these idiots fans or just chronic b and c'ers. That's bitchers and complainers. It really is sad!

Tim

I will not comment on rumours. Only cold hard facts.

Right you are, Tim! Sometimes it seems like optimism is a four letter word among Rider fans.
