C'mon Regina! Vote For Your City!

Put Regina on the Board
Regina could live in history among iconic board game properties such as Boardwalk, Marvin Gardens, and St. James Place. MONOPOLY is launching a new Canadian Edition and is inviting Canadians to vote for their favourite cities.

Regina is among the 65 cities in the running for 20 spots on the Monopoly Canada Edition board. The vote will determine the top 20 cities and the top 2 wildcard cities that will be the property spaces on the MONOPOLY Canada game board.

Voting began January 11th at midnight and will continue until February 7th, 2010. The city that receives the highest number of votes will be placed on the highest rent property, typically occupied by Boardwalk.

“Regina has been a city on the world stage the past few years with events from the Grey Cup to the Olympic Torch Relay and it is time to solidify that place by becoming a part of a board game history,” said Mayor Pat Fiacco.

The Mayor encourages every Reginan to vote every day during the contest period. For more information on voting and to help put Regina on the Board, please visit www.monopolyvote.ca.
