Man-Ram To Calgary????

I don't think so but hey if Manny wants to stay in game shape after his suspension today....

CALGARY — Manny Ramirez’s career path: Cleveland Indians. Boston Red Sox. Los Angeles Dodgers. Calgary Vipers?
The Calgary entry in the professional independent Golden League said Thursday it is prepared to offer the suspended outfielder a contract to play in the independent Golden Baseball League, according to a press release.
“The Vipers have a few connections to the Dodgers organization,” said Vipers director of baseball operations Peter Young. “(Calgary infielder) Carlos Duncan’s brother Mariano is a Dodgers’ coach as is Don Mattingly, a good friend of hitting coach Boots Day. Carlos is trying to get through to Manny or to Scott Boras, Ramirez’s agent.”
Ramirez was suspended on Thursday for 50 games for violating Major League Baseball’s substance program. The suspension is effective immediately.

A classless move from a classless organization. This team is starved for attention because they are getting whipped at the gates (and media) by the Okotoks Dawgs collegiate summer league team....and probly your Red Sox too.
